Siri AI release date: already in beta, with no price set yet

The Siri AI release date has already passed in one sense: Apple began rolling out Siri AI in beta in English on September 14, 2026, and added five more languages on October 26. A wider customer launch for apps that plug into it is only described as "in a few months." As for whether Siri AI is free, Apple has not published a price. Its own pages say only that daily usage limits apply and that expanded access will cost a fee later. Details below come from Apple's developer news post of November 3 and Apple Newsroom.

Siri AI is a rebuilt Siri that Apple announced on June 8, 2026. It is conversational, uses personal context, and can see what is on your screen.

Siri AI release date: what Apple has confirmed

Apple still labels Siri AI a beta. It has not said when the beta label comes off, and it has not given an exact date for any later step.

Apple's developer post says a customer release is planned "in a few months" and that App Store submission for apps using the preview opens in the spring. Those are the only forward dates Apple gives. Apple also says Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese are coming. The October post puts them by the end of the year.

Is Siri AI free?

Apple has not published a price for Siri AI. Here is what its pages say, as of November 3, 2026:

• No price or subscription is listed for Siri AI in the June, September or October newsroom posts or in the developer post.
• Server-side features, Siri AI included, are subject to daily usage limits. Apple says limits "may vary by feature, request complexity, system demand, system policies, and other factors."
• Apple's usage limits page says a feature that hits its limit becomes available again after a time out.
• Apple says "expanded access to such features will be available for a fee in the future." It gives no amount and no date.

So the accurate answer is that Apple lists no charge today, limits use each day, and has said a paid tier is coming. We don't know what it will cost, what the free limit is, or when it starts. Any figure you see elsewhere is not from Apple.

Where Siri AI works and what you need

• A device with Apple Intelligence turned on, with Siri and the device set to a supported language.
• The supported iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch models are listed in Apple's September post. They include iPhone 16 models or later and iPhone 15 Pro.
• Users must be 13 or older.
• It is not available in the EU on iOS, iPadOS or watchOS. Apple blamed the Digital Markets Act and said it has no timeline. On Mac and Vision Pro it is available in the EU.
• It is not available in China for now, while Apple works through regulatory requirements.

What developers get in the preview

Apps connect to Siri AI through App Intents, Apple's framework for exposing an app's actions and content. The preview adds Skills, which chain several actions into one request. Our earlier report on the developer preview covers the details.

What Apple's earnings release says

Apple's fourth quarter results, published November 2, mention Siri AI only in passing, in a quote from CEO John Ternus about the new lineup. They give no launch date, no price and no Siri AI revenue figure.

Watch for two things from Apple: the date the beta label is dropped, and the terms for paid access, which Apple says it will share later.
