Key takeaways

  • Grok Bot is included in The X Subscription's Premium ($30), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200) tiers, but not in Plus ($8) or Free.
  • It draws from one weekly usage pool shared with Cursor and the Grok apps; Super and Ultra pools are larger than Premium's.
  • Extra usage on The X Subscription is paid from prepaid credit, and xAI does not publish Grok Bot limits in tokens or tasks.

Grok Bot has no price of its own. As of November 8, 2026, xAI includes it in the Premium ($30 a month), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200) tiers of The X Subscription, and the $8 Plus tier and the free tier do not get it. Grok Bot pricing therefore comes down to which of those tiers you pick, and how much of the shared weekly usage pool you need.

If you want the setup steps instead, see how to use Grok Bot.

How much Grok Bot costs

xAI announced The X Subscription on October 12, 2026. These are the individual tiers, per month, from xAI's announcement:

Tier Price Usage level Grok Bot
Free $0 Limited No
Plus $8 Base No
Premium $30 4x Plus Yes
Super $100 15x Plus Yes
Ultra $200 50x Plus Yes

xAI says Premium bundles the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+, which it priced at $90 a month combined before. Premium, Super and Ultra are also sold for teams at the same per-seat prices.

The announcement does not give a separate price for Grok Bot, and it does not say what "4x" or "50x" means in tokens or dollars. xAI points to its pricing page for that, which blocks automated readers, so we could not check it.

What the weekly pool means

Grok Bot does not have its own allowance. Per Cursor's Grok Bot plans page, on The X Subscription it draws from one weekly pool that it shares with Cursor and the Grok apps. Super and Ultra have larger pools than Premium. The pool refreshes every week.

xAI's usage limits page adds that different activities draw different amounts from the pool, depending on the product. So a heavy day in Cursor leaves less for your Bots.

What happens when you run out

On The X Subscription, extra usage is paid from prepaid credit. You can buy credit, turn on Auto Top-up and set a monthly limit for additional usage at grok.com/dashboard/billing, according to Cursor's page.

On a legacy Cursor plan, the rule is different. When the weekly usage runs out, on-demand usage continues only if you turned it on, and it is billed through Cursor against your monthly on-demand limit. If it is off, Grok Bot stops until the weekly reset. A limit does not stop a run that has already started.

Other ways to get Grok Bot

Cursor's page lists these routes as of November 8, 2026:

  • Legacy Cursor plans: Pro, Pro+ and Ultra, plus self-serve Teams. Enterprise access goes through your account executive.
  • Linked accounts: individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy and X Premium+ can be linked to grant usage. A seat on a self-serve Grok Business plan also works.
  • Not included: Plus, Free and SuperGrok Lite.

Plans do not stack. If you have a Cursor plan and a linked account, Grok Bot uses whichever one grants more weekly usage. After a SuperGrok upgrade or downgrade, the new limit can take up to 24 hours to show.

xAI says existing SuperGrok subscribers can keep their plan and price. Anyone who switches to The X Subscription gets a prorated refund of the old plan.

What we don't know

  • How many Bot tasks or tokens a week each tier gives. xAI describes tiers only in relative terms.
  • Whether Grok Bot has its own spending cap. Neither xAI's announcement nor Cursor's page says.
  • SuperGrok's standalone price today. The announcement does not state it.

Prices and limits change often at xAI, so check x.ai/pricing before you pay. For how the same pool affects the Grok app, see our explainer on the Grok weekly limit.
