The pricing page names Cowork only in the Team plan's feature list ("Claude Code and Claude Cowork"). The help center is the source for the other plans.
Is Claude Cowork included in Pro
Yes. The help center lists Pro, and the plan covers Cowork on the desktop app, on the web and on mobile. Since October 6, 2026, new Cowork tasks on Pro, Max and Ultra run in the cloud. The "Only on your computer" setting was removed. Your folders stay on your machine, and Claude can reach only the ones you connect, and only while the desktop app is open.
What Cowork costs in usage
Cowork has no extra fee, but it is not free of limits. Anthropic says everything you do with Claude counts toward your plan's usage limits, and that longer agentic tasks generally use more than a quick question. The Cowork guide says multi-step tasks use more of your usage than a quick question and suggests starting a new conversation for unrelated work. You can check your usage in Settings > Usage.
On the pricing page, Pro gets more usage than Free, Max gets five times Pro, and Ultra gets 10x Pro each week. The pages I read give no figure for how much Cowork work fits in a Pro plan, so heavy users may hit limits sooner than they expect.
Where Cowork works on each plan
- Desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux): all paid plans. Linux is in beta.
- Web and mobile: Pro, Max, Ultra and Team (in beta on Team), and Enterprise when an owner enables it.
- Chrome side panel: all paid plans. On Enterprise, an owner must turn on Claude in Chrome and Cowork in the cloud.
Local file access, browser use and computer use need the Claude Desktop app, open and connected. Computer use is in beta on Pro, Max and Ultra. Anthropic's Team and Enterprise guide covers the admin controls.
Anthropic is also rolling out a combined chat and Cowork experience in stages, so two accounts on the same plan may see different screens for a while.
