Apple Creator Studio price in the U.S. is $12.99 a month or $129 a year, as of October 27, 2026, according to Apple's Creator Studio page. New subscribers get one month free. College students and educators pay $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year while a limited-time offer lasts.

Apple announced new AI features and more tools for the subscription on October 27, in its newsroom post. The prices below are the ones Apple lists for the United States. Apple's support page says prices vary by region and does not list them.

How much Apple Creator Studio costs

Plan Price (U.S., October 27, 2026) Trial
Individual $12.99 a month or $129 a year 1 month free, new subscribers only
College students and educators $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year 1 month free
New Mac or iPad $12.99 a month or $129 a year after the offer 3 months free

The annual plan works out to $10.75 a month, about 17% less than paying monthly for a year ($155.88).

The student and educator price is a limited-time offer. Apple says it may end at any time, and Apple verifies eligibility. It is not available through Family Sharing.

The device offer is for new and qualified returning subscribers. Apple says you must claim it within three months of activating the eligible Mac or iPad, and it is limited to one per Apple Account or family.

What the subscription includes

The subscription covers Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor and MainStage. It also adds premium templates, a royalty-free photo and graphics library, and intelligence features to Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform. Those four apps stay free without a subscription.

Apple also still sells some of the pro apps as one-time purchases on the Mac App Store, per its newsroom post, as of October 27, 2026:

  • Final Cut Pro: $299.99
  • Logic Pro: $199.99
  • Pixelmator Pro, Motion and Compressor: $49.99 each
  • MainStage: $29.99

At $129 a year, the subscription costs less than Final Cut Pro alone in its first two years. The purchases and the subscription are different things: a one-time purchase has no recurring fee, and the subscription is where Apple is adding the new AI features.

What the October 27 update adds

Apple says the update reaches the App Store in November 2026 and is free for existing subscribers. It includes:

  • Final Cut Pro: built-in MotionVFX effects, templates and transitions, Pixelmator Pro editing from the timeline, and 23 new transcription languages.
  • Logic Pro: a redesigned look, an AI assistant in beta on Mac, and a Stem Splitter that can isolate and rebalance drums.
  • Pixelmator Pro: Generate Fill, which edits a selected area of an image from a text description.
  • Keynote, Pages and Numbers: an AI assistant in beta and support for MCP, a standard that lets outside AI tools connect to an app.

The beta assistants are U.S. English only and need an Apple Intelligence-capable device running macOS 27 or iOS and iPadOS 27. MCP support needs macOS 27.

Requirements and sharing

For full functionality Apple lists macOS 26, iPadOS 26 or iOS 26 or later, plus an Apple Account and an internet connection. Individual apps run on older systems: Final Cut Pro needs macOS 15.6 or later, for example. A standard subscription can be shared with up to five other family members through Family Sharing.

What happens if you cancel

Apple says you keep access until the end of the billing period. After that, projects you made stay on your devices and remain licensed, but you need an active subscription to open or edit Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro projects. Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform documents stay editable, without the paid features.

What Apple does not say

Apple's Creator Studio and support pages do not say whether the subscription is part of Apple One. The student price has no announced end date, and Apple lists no regional prices on the pages we read. Check the price shown in the App Store before you subscribe.
