Is Meta Muse free? Mostly, yes. Meta's own launch post says Muse is "free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for people who want to do more," and as of October 31, 2026 Meta has not published a price or a usage limit for any Muse plan. The announcement of Muse is dated September 8, 2026.
That means anyone quoting you a Muse price, such as "$20 a month," is not quoting Meta. We checked Meta's announcements, the Muse website and Meta's developer docs on October 31, and none of them lists one.
What Muse is
Muse is a personal AI agent from Meta, a program that carries out tasks for you rather than only answering questions. Meta says it can send emails, book travel, fill out forms and negotiate on your behalf. It runs on a dedicated cloud computer Meta calls Muse Secure VM, keeps working after you close the app, and asks for your approval before sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase. It is powered by Muse Spark, Meta's model.

The same sentence appears in the September launch post and in Meta's October 27 post on Muse in Singapore. Neither lists what a subscription adds. Some third-party sites list a $20 plan and a $100 plan. We could not find either figure on a Meta page, so we do not repeat them as fact.
Where you can get it
At launch Meta said Muse was rolling out in the US on iOS, Android and the website muse.ai, with AI glasses coming. On October 27, 2026 Meta said it was available in Singapore on iOS, Android and the web, with local partners including Shopee, Grab and Singapore Airlines. Some connector features there arrive after launch. Meta's posts do not give a full country list or an age requirement.
Muse is not Muse Code or the Muse API
Meta uses the Muse name for several products, and only some have published prices. They are separate from the consumer agent.
- Meta Model API. As of October 31, 2026, Meta's pricing page lists Muse Spark at $1.25 per million input tokens and $4.25 per million output tokens, and Muse Wonder at $4.00 and $20.00. Tokens are the chunks of text a model reads and writes. Pay-as-you-go has no minimums, and the page mentions no free tier.
- Muse Code. Meta's subscriptions page lists four plans: Everyday, High, Power and Maximum Usage. Everyday allows 10 to 50 prompts every 5 hours, and the others are 5, 20 and 80 times that. The page shows no prices.
Those developer prices do not tell you what the Muse app costs.
