Best Buy price tracker: get told when your item's price or stock changes

The most useful Best Buy price tracker is a watch on the exact product page you plan to buy from, with a rule that says what counts as a good price. Best Buy's app lets you set product alerts for when a device you are watching drops in price, and its app page promises notices about deals, price drops and restocks. If you only shop Best Buy and that alert covers your item, it may be enough.

A separate tracker is the better pick when you want an exact threshold instead of any sale, when you are comparing the same model at other stores, when the alert should reach a shared channel or inbox, or when you want the change explained in a sentence.

The price match window is where tracking pays

Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee, effective October 30, 2026, says Best Buy will match its own lower in-store, online or app price during the return and exchange period. Under the standard return policy that period is 15 days for most products, and 60 days for My Best Buy Plus and Total members. For the holidays, most products bought between Oct. 30 and Dec. 31 can be price matched through Jan. 15.

Items sold by third-party Marketplace sellers are excluded, as are open-box, refurbished, pre-owned and clearance products. Check who sells the item before you count on a refund, and reread the policy before a big purchase, because Best Buy says it can change the terms.
