Why the stock fell

SiliconANGLE reports that Atlassian expects subscription ARR growth of about 18.5% by the end of the fiscal year, down from the 23% it just reported. For the second quarter it guided to revenue of $1.825 billion to $1.835 billion and cloud revenue growth of about 27%, down from 31%. It raised its full-year revenue growth forecast to about 13.75%, up three-quarters of a point from August. Bloomberg's headline said the revenue outlook "disappoints" investors worried about tech valuations.

What Atlassian said about AI

Chief executive Mike Cannon-Brookes said enterprise AI "has hit an inflection point" and that the advantage goes to platforms that put people and AI agents together with shared context. The release points to the company's Agentic Multiplayer Protocol, which lets agents work in Jira and Confluence as named teammates, and to a rebuilt Atlassian MCP server with more than 220 tools. Atlassian says the server uses 25% fewer tokens than before for the same Jira and Confluence work, has over 2 million monthly users and handles more than 15 million tool calls a day.

SiliconANGLE adds that more than 87% of enterprise cloud customers use Rovo, Atlassian's AI assistant.
